What can I expect during treatment with Juvederm Volbella?

The appointment will begin with a discussion about your goals and desired look. Once all of your questions and concerns have been satisfactorily addressed, and your consent has been signed, your provider will apply a topical anesthetic to make the injection as comfortable as possible. Once you are comfortable,Juvederm Volbella will be placed into the lips and/or surrounding area using either a very fine needle or cannula.

Is being treated with Juvederm Volbella painful?

What are my instructions after treatment with Juvederm Volbella?

Please use caution with hot beverages after treatment with Volbella in the lips. The topical numbing and the lidocaine within the product may cause numbness to last for up to 1 hour. This may interfere with temperature sensation.
We ask that you do not press or massage the treated areas, or position your lips in an exaggerated manner (such as a whistling motion) after treatment as this may cause the product to migrate.

What are the side effects associated with Juvederm Volbella treatment?

The most common side effects with Juvederm Volbella are bruising, swelling and tenderness in the areas treated. These side effects are generally mild and can be treated with ice, acetaminophen, and time! There are less common side effects that may occur with treatment including asymmetry and allergic reactions. If you have concerns please do not hesitate to ask.

How long does Juvederm Volbella last?

Juvederm Volbella is designed to last 12 months in the lips with adequate correction and proper placement.

When will I see the results from my treatment with Juvederm Volbella?
Immediately after injection! Treatment with Volbella can be instantly appreciated although there will be slight changes in the appearance for the first 7 to 10 days. There will be swelling from the injection and that will subside. Concurrently, Volbella will be drawing more water into the treated site to create the final outcome.
